Commercial Utilities
The City of Snyder provides reliable water, wastewater, and sanitation services to support local businesses and commercial properties. This page offers resources to help manage your account, set up or transfer service, and access commercial rates and programs.
Water, wastewater, and sanitation services are available for commercial and industrial properties. Businesses can establish new service, transfer accounts, or close service through the Utility Department.
To Start Service:
- Complete the Commercial Utility Service Agreement in person at City Hall, 1925 24th Street.
- A deposit is required to open service (amount depends on meter size and service type).
To Stop or Transfer Service:
- Contact the Utility Department at 325-573-4960 to schedule a final meter reading and provide your forwarding address for your final bill.
Billing & Payments:
- Online Payments: Pay or view bills through the Customer Portal, where you can set up autopay or make one-time payments.
- In Person: Pay at City Hall, 1925 24th Street, during regular business hours.
- By Mail: Send checks to City of Snyder Utilities, P.O. Box 1341, Snyder, TX 79550.
- Dropbox: A secure after-hours drop box is available at City Hall, located on the east side of the building.
Paperless Billing:
- Enroll in paperless billing through the Customer Portal to receive bills by email and reduce paper waste.
- Instructions are available within the portal or by calling the Utility Department at 325-573-4960.
The City of Snyder provides several waste disposal options to meet business needs.
Front-Load Dumpsters
- Ideal for daily or weekly commercial waste.
- Standard pickup schedules are based on service location and container size.
- Additional pickups may be requested for an added fee.
Recycling Dumpsters
- Available for businesses that wish to participate in Snyder’s recycling program.

Roll-Off Containers
- Suitable for construction, renovation, or large cleanup projects.
- To request a roll-off container, contact the Utility Department at 325-573-4960.

Landfill Disposal
- Businesses may haul materials directly to the Snyder Landfill.
- Landfill fees are based on material type and weight.

Billing & Fees
- Sanitation charges appear on the monthly utility bill.
- Current commercial sanitation rates are available on the Utility Rates page.
Bulk water and industrial connections are available by request.
Bulk Water Station
- Bulk water is available for purchase for $10.38 per one thousand gallons.
- Water can be purchased through the Utility Department at City Hall.
Temporary Construction Meters
- Available for new construction.
- A water tap can be requested by contacting the Utility Department at 325-573-4960.
- A refundable deposit is required.
Permanent Industrial Service
- Designed for large-scale or industrial use.
- Contact the Utility Department to discuss connection options, water flow capacity, and backflow requirements.
Cross-Connection Control & Backflow Prevention
- All commercial connections must comply with City backflow prevention standards.

- Tiered structure based on consumption.
- Meter readings occur monthly.
Sanitation & Roll-Off
- Rates depend on container size, pickup frequency, and type of waste.
