Snyder Recycling Center
The City of Snyder operates a community recycling center to help reduce landfill use and promote environmental responsibility. Residents and businesses can drop off recyclable materials at designated green dumpsters throughout the city or at the Snyder Recycling Center.

How It Works:
Recycling at this facility is self-serve and hand-sorted. To reduce contamination, please sort materials and bag like items when possible.
Accepted Materials
- Plastics: Bottles and containers labeled #1 or #2; rinsed and free of residue.
- Cardboard: Flattened; free of food residue.
- Paper: Office paper, newspapers, mail (shredded paper must be bagged).
Note: Please rinse containers and remove lids when possible to keep materials clean and ensure efficient processing.
Not Accepted
- Glass
- Aluminum cans
- Styrofoam or plastic bags
- Household trash or food waste
- Hazardous waste or chemicals
- Electronics or appliances

Recycling helps extend the life of our landfill, reduces cleanup costs, and keeps Snyder clean and beautiful. Participation from residents, schools, and community organizations plays a major role in supporting a more sustainable future.
The City of Snyder partners with Keep Snyder Beautiful, local schools, and community groups on recycling education programs, collection drives, and youth engagement initiatives, including projects such as:
