Water Treatment Plant

The Water Treatment Plant provides clean, reliable drinking water to Snyder residents and businesses. Water is sourced, treated, and tested continuously to meet state and federal safety standards before it reaches your tap.

How the System Works

The Water Treatment Plant draws water from the Colorado River Municipal Water District and treats it through filtration, disinfection, and quality testing processes. Certified operators are on duty every day to ensure safe delivery through Snyder’s water system.

Water Quality and Safety

The Water Treatment Plant monitors water quality around the clock to ensure it meets all drinking water standards. All treatment processes comply with requirements from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The City publishes an Annual Consumer Confidence Report, also known as a Water Quality Report, to provide residents with clear information about water testing results and regulatory compliance.
