A chemical incident has occurred at the Snyder Water Treatment Plant due to a ruptured chemical tank. Emergency crews remain on site to monitor the situation out of an abundance of caution. The evacuation was done with regards to air quality in the immediate area. Please avoid the area until all clear has been given. The Scurry County Armory in Towle Park is open to anyone affected by the evacuation and needs a place to go.
