This is a courtesy message from the Snyder & Scurry County office of Emergency Management, informing all citizens of Scurry County that a County wide burn ban was placed into effect February 27th, 2018. The burn ban will remain in effect until it is rescinded by the Scurry County Commissioners Court. All outdoor burning is prohibited except for agricultural purposes related to crop production. If you need to burn for agricultural purposes, contact the Snyder Fire Department. All citizens are encouraged to adhere to the provisions of the burn ban.
