Snyder community leaders hosted one of five network luncheons being held in April sponsored by Texas Midwest Community Network. The luncheon discussion focused on “how to encourage optimism at the local level in today's challenging economic climate”.
During the luncheon 26 community representatives from neighboring cities offered comments on current programs that encourage shopping at home and ways local business owners work together to strengthen local economies. Attendees discussed ways to assist employers when retention and expansion are issues of concern.
Cities represented at the luncheon included Snyder, Sweetwater, Spur, Robert Lee and Colorado City. Representatives from Workforce Solutions, Big Country Electric Cooperative and TMCN also attended. The meal was catered by Great Western Dining Service.
