[ARCHIVED] Scurry County Museum News

Good Morning Everyone,

I have two announcements from the Museum for the everyone to share as they can with the public and co-workers.

1. I just wanted to let you know that the Scurry County Museum will be open Monday May 30th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. We will also be open the same hours for 4th of July and Labor Day. We want to be open so people can bring in family and friends from out of town that may be visiting during those holidays. The Museum has a changing lineup of exhibits in the lobby and South gallery with a strong emphasis on local connections. Our Museum Store has changed dramatically in the last year with many unique gifts and books that aren’t available anywhere else in Scurry County. If you are unable to stop by during the holiday, we will be happy for you to visit any time you can.

2. Starting June 1st the Museum will have expanded hours to accommodate more visitors. The new museum hours will be:

Monday through Thursday 9:00 am until 6:00 pm
Fridays 9:00 am until 5:00 pm
Saturdays 10:00 am until 2:00 pm

The big change will be the fact that we are open until 6:00 pm four days a week and regularly on Saturdays as a fun, free, and educational experience for community members, out of town visitors, and for any events happening in the community- tournaments, rodeos, and festivals.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Museum if you have any questions or want to know more information.
