That time of year is fast approaching and we at the chamber of commerce want this year to be amazing and full of Christmas spirit. As most of you know our annual lighted parade is scheduled to be held on December 6, 2014. The theme for the parade is "Christmas around the World." In the past there has not been an entry form, but I feel that implementing one would help organize and better the event. Included is the form that will need to be filled out and returned. Entries can be e-mailed, faxed, or delivered by hand. As per usual the parade is free to enter so let's make the parade a long and memorable one!! The parade starts at 6:30 with line up beginning at 5:30 in the Snyder shopping center. Texas weather can never be predicted, so dress accordingly. We would like you to join us by decorating your vehicle, trailer, golf cart, ATV, etc. with festive lights and decorations.
New this year is our First Annual Christmas tree lighting! Directly following the parade meet us at the Downtown Plaza (pocket park) for our countdown to light up our gigantic tree!! Stay in the area for cocoa, carols, and of course amazing shopping! Most of our hometown merchants will be having their open house that evening and will be open late.
This year we encourage local church choirs to get together and carol around the square. If you know someone who can make this happen please pass the word along!
In following with our theme, we encourage our businesses around town to decorate their store front windows to get in the Christmas Spirit.
