During our August 23, 2010 Storm Ready visit, our NWS verification team was very pleased to see
the effort that you and Mr. Bawcum have made to prepare Snyder for potential weather and non-weather related hazards. Based on population, Snyder has easily met the StormReady requirements for receiving weather information, monitoring your own weather data, and disseminating weather information to the public.
You have maintained an exemplary community preparedness standard and have shown a lasting commitment to the National Weather Service forecast office in Midland. You are a very important partner to the National Weather Service, and your efforts not only help prepare your community, but also greatly aid NWS Midland in meeting our mission to protect life and property.
