Building & Permits

Responsibilities

The Building Inspections Division performs skilled building and construction inspections to assure compliance with the City's adopted building and construction codes and ordinances.

Permits are typically required for projects such as:

  • New construction or structural modifications
  • Additions like carports, patios, and pools
  • HVAC installation or replacement
  • Sign installations for businesses

If you're unsure whether your project requires a permit, please contact our office for clarification.

If you have received a permit and are ready for an inspection, please call (325) 573-4959 and schedule the inspection.

All permit and inspection fees must be paid to the City before a permit is issued and before any work begins. These fees are subject to change. For current rates, please view our Fee Schedule
