What We Do

The IT Department supports and safeguards the City’s digital infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining all computer hardware, network systems, and cybersecurity protections
• Managing and updating software applications across all City departments
• Implementing software upgrades and new technology solutions to improve service delivery
• Ensuring up-to-date antivirus and security protocols to protect sensitive data
• Tracking and managing warranties for all City computer equipment
• Assisting employees with technical support, troubleshooting, and security issues
• Assists public safety personnel with mass notification alerts

By keeping technology running smoothly, the IT Department helps the City serve residents effectively. Much of this work happens behind the scenes, ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of the City’s systems.
